Winchester City Council invests more than £200,000 per annum in the Theatre Royal, Winchester, and the Conservative Chairman of the Local Economy Scrutiny Panel, Patricia Stallard, is exploring its usage and the extent to which the Theatre is accessible to all residents in the District.
She has invited Fiona Burn, Chief Executive of the Theatre Royal, to meet the Panel on Wednesday 15th March to question her about the role of the Theatre, plans for the future and funding.
The 6.30 pm meeting is held in the Walton Room, and is open to members of the public who will be able to speak on issues of concern to them. Anyone wishing to speak is invited to contact the clerk to the panel at the City Offices.
"It is important that council tax payers get value for money and that Council investments are utilised to best advantage for residents" said Councillor Stallard. "The meeting with the Chief Executive will provide a good opportunity to raise and discuss these matters."
