Traffic Issues Examined

Conservative chairman of Winchester's Local Economy Scrutiny Panel Patricia Stallard is delving onto current transport problems in the Winchester district.

She has invited Tim Knight, Hampshire's Executive Councillor for Transport, to meet the Panel on January 26 to question him about current transport issues, including the impact on local business of roadworks in the centre of Winchester.

The meeting is open to members of the public who will be able to speak on issues of concern to them. Anyone wishing to speak is invited to contact the clerk to the panel at the City Offices.

"Transport matters have a major impact on the local economy," said Councillor Stallard. "This will be a good opportunity to raise matters with Hampshire's transport chief."
