More women go out to work and more women use their voice to raise issues of
concern than ever before. 'Conservative Women' continues to build the Women's
Organisation in the Conservative Party and develop it to reflect society.
The CWO in Winchester & Chandler's Ford holds bi-monthly meetings in members'
homes. There is always a Speaker and this is followed by lunch with a glass of
wine.
The CWO is keen to promote the interest of women by giving them the opportunity to
be involved in political activity at constituency, regional and national level.
There are opportunities for members to attend Conferences, meet Members of
Parliament and develop skills for public life. The CWO is committed to encouraging
more women to become MPs, MEPs and local councillors.
They also hold a number of fund-raising events each year:
A Spring Luncheon, with a Guest Speaker, (recently they've had John Bercow MP,
Damian Green MP and Anne Milton MP).
A Garden Visit and Tea in various beautiful gardens in the constituency.
A Christmas Fair, where you could buy interesting arts, crafts and cakes for the
holidays.
A very successful Fashion Show and Lunch was held.
All women members are welcome to attend the meetings.
